Day 89.
A really busy day today, so hardly any time to think about a shot. My wife was making pineapple fried rice for dinner when I got home, so I decided to grab a quick shot of the pineapple before it went in the pan. Not my best work, but good enough to use.

Hmm, pineapple fried rice sounds interesting. Love the framing of your shot here.

I love a tasty looking food shot - and this is tasty! - so tasty I think I'm buying pineapple today, and then trying to find a recipe for pineapple fried rice!

Sounds delicious. Having a numb head day today - perhaps I will go and chop up my pineapple today... And make the pineapple fried rice too cos I have never made it before - off to find a recipe:)

Turned out really good for a quick shot.

Well composed, and nice detail particularly on the chunks and the cutting surface in the lower left; my eye goes right to them.

Meghan (Rambling On. . . ) gardengeorgie Rose Jones We kind of made up our own totally inauthentic recipe: it is cooked rice, a scrambled egg, braised tofu, pineapple, carrots, and peas stir fried at high heat with your favorite (homemade or store bought) teriyaki sauce. Parboil the carrots first, and cook the peas, carrots, and pineapple for a bit before adding the rice, egg, and tofu. You could easily replace the tofu with pork if you wanted, too. There are certainly more authentic (but usually more complicated) recipes out there, but this is quick and tasty.
flashfix Thanks!
Dennis Wilkinson Thanks!
.avina. Pineapple is a favorite around here too.
